Laura is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a systems approach to her mental health counseling practice. She is trained in many evidenced-based therapeutic modalities enabling her to effectively treat depression, anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders, relationship and family issues, anger management, substance use disorders, and people who have experienced grief, loss and a history of trauma.
Are you looking for a therapist with lived experience? Laura is the mother of three children, she has been married and divorced, she has experience with single and parallel parenting, grief and loss and adoption. She values all of these life experiences and believes that you too can learn to value every part of life's journey. Laura is most appreciative for the lessons she has learned from her children and for the years spent climbing, traveling, guiding outdoor adventures and searching until she found her life's purpose: helping others to practice and achieve improved Mind Fitness.
Laura works with individuals, couples and families who want to change how they manage stressful life events, relationship issues, conflict, emotional and physical pain, and other physical and mental health problems. She enjoys working with people who are interested in improving their personal and professional relationships and who are willing to begin the process by focussing on the most important relationship of all, relationship with oneself.
